Supporting Our Students Beyond High School

At Minds Matter Colorado, we know college acceptance is just the beginning. That’s why we launched the College Support Pilot, a new initiative helping 33 graduates from the Class of 2025 thrive in their first year of college. Through monthly check-ins, text outreach, and targeted micro-grants, we’re staying connected, celebrating milestones, and addressing challenges in real time. Insights from this pilot will guide how MMCO continues to support alumni beyond high school, ensuring every student has the confidence, connection, and resources to succeed.

Strengthening College Advising at MMCO

This fall, MMCO launched a new College Advising Initiative to give juniors and seniors more individualized support as they navigate the college application and financial aid process. Five dedicated volunteer College Advisors are working one-on-one and in small groups with mentees, alongside mentors, to guide college lists, essays, and scholarship applications. By combining expertise, mentorship, and care, this initiative ensures every student receives the personalized advising they need to make confident, informed college decisions.
