"It’s an amazing thing, being part of two girls’ lives and helping them follow their dreams."

The Minds Matter program is a national organization that was formed in New York City in 1991 by six Wall Street professionals.

The goal was to mentor high-achieving high school students from low-income households who had the potential and ambition to pursue a college education, but who lacked the resources to achieve that dream.

Since then, Minds Matter has grown into a national organization with fourteen chapters across the United States in Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Colorado, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, the Twin Cities, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

The organization’s services have developed into a holistic multi-year program for high school students.

Each year, students are guided through valuable lessons in academic preparedness, writing and critical thinking, and college-readiness test preparation.

Minds Matter Denver was established in 2004, and after 15 years of phenomenal results, our leadership embarked on a bold venture to expand the program’s success to other cities around the state and become the first statewide Minds Matter program in existence. Based around this vision, in 2019, Minds Matter Colorado came into being.
