MMCO Announces Kristin Kirkpatrick as new Chair, Board of Directors
Today, we extend our deepest appreciation to outgoing Chair, Board of Directors, Brady Miller. His remarkable dedication and leadership have helped shape Minds Matter Colorado into the organization it is today. Thank you, Brady, for your unwavering commitment to our students as Chair! We’re thrilled you’ll continue to serve as a general member of the Board of Directors.
Now, it is with great excitement that we introduce our new Chair, Board of Directors: Kristin Kirkpatrick.
Prior to becoming the Managing Director, CSU Spur Partnerships + Advancements, Kristen was with Together We Grow, where she worked alongside a consortium of many of the world’s largest food and agribusiness interests including members of industry, NGO, higher ed, and government institutions.
Kristin is focused on building a skilled, diverse, and inclusive workforce that can power the innovation needed to feed the future. She has always had a passion for system’s change that creates more equitable opportunities and has done so through the lenses of public health, policy advocacy, and community development.
Recently she helped lead Kimbal Musk’s national nonprofit Big Green, which integrates food literacy education into school curriculum across the country. Kristin has been an instructor with the Colorado School of Public Health at CSU and served as chief of wellness planning for Bellisimo Development Inc., helping lead the master planning, design, and actualization of the award-winning Bucking Horse and landmark Jessup Farm projects in Fort Collins, Colorado.
She earned a bachelor’s in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State and a master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado. In her free time, you can find Kristin outside with her family.
Please join us in thanking Brady for his service and welcoming Kristin to the Chair role with a virtual round of applause!
